Sketches – Just a Bunch of Memories on Paper
Man, I’ve been filling up sketchbooks for 30 years—some of these pages go way back. A lot of these are prototypes for paintings, some were just me wandering artistically, and plenty were for random little projects over the years. Since the start of this year alone, I’ve already burned through five sketch pads, each page packed with doodles, drawings, and whatever needed to come out of my head.
Some are just pencil, others got pen and ink, watercolor, alcohol markers, even acrylic pens. A lot of these are people and places I remember and miss—like I gotta put them on paper or they’ll slip away. Sometimes, it’s not even a memory, just a feeling I can’t shake until it’s drawn.
Honestly, I doubt most people are too interested in this stuff, but every doodle, every sketch? It’s some idea, some passion, some person, place, or thing that I had to keep from disappearing.
So, yeah… enjoy. Or don’t. Either way, these sketches ain’t going anywhere.
